Not forgetting, of course, the European Referendum Bill 2015-2016 specifically states “The UK does not have constitutional provisions which would require the results of a referendum to be implemented”.
Just because some damn fools were deluded into opening the door of an aircraft at 30,000ft it is not incumbent on the pilot to force the passengers to jump, simply because there is an opening to do so. Better to avoid the certain death of those in your care, land the aircraft and get on with your life as before.
To do otherwise is a gross dereliction of duty – no matter which party you lead.
