My readers. Salutations!

My apologies, it’s been a long time since my last story, ‘Dogs of War’, was posted on April 16th.

I’ve moved, with my wife, Carol, from our home of twenty-seven years, to an apartment in Chipstead in Surrey. Not only is this much smaller than our lovely old house but lacked internet access until recently. This, combined with unpacking many cardboard boxes, and the stress of the last years, made me realise that I needed a break – this was longer than I planned.

Hopefully, normal service will now be returned. As I have explained before, it won’t be a story a week but, with a fair wind, there’ll be one a month.

I hope you’ll enjoy today’s story “Forgiven’.
